Global Perspectives in Higher Education
Improving Practice Series
This publication offers a practical insight into what global perspectives might look and feel like across a range of under- and postgraduate courses. It will interest academics, higher education policymakers and NGOs working with higher education institutions and bodies concerned with the delivery of relevant, quality higher education curricula.
The four participating universities in DEA's Global Perspectives in Higher Education project have developed imaginative teaching and learning approaches from very different starting points. The lessons learnt in developing these new modules are reinforced by the case study on active citizenship through 'service learning'.
All explore how participatory and experiential learning complements ethical and outward-looking curricula and how global perspectives can be delivered in ways which are successful in critically engaging different groups of students with these complex issues.
