Our Global Future
How can education meet the challenge of change?
DEA recently launched our new programme of discussion and debate, Our global future: how can education meet the challenge of change?
The launch of Questioning Education: A discussion paper forms the basis for this - it draws on groundbreaking Ipsos MORI research into Young People’s Experiences of Global Learning. This received signifcant press coverage, and over the next few months we will be working with members, policy makers, practitioners, politicians and other colleagues to look at how education policy can move forward to better prepare children and young people for their global future.
Questioning Education aims to provoke and contribute to this debate, and DEA is actively seeking policy ideas, contributions and submissions. The process aims to uncover practical and imaginative proposals that will help embed global learning in the English education system.
Get involved and have your say:
- Respond to the key questions on page 5 of Questioning Education.
- Attend one of the series of consultation and discussion events which DEA will be organising around the country. Details are posted below.
- Organise your own discussion event. For information and advice on this, please contact Helen Young, email: helen.young@dea.org.uk.
- Submit a DEA Thinkpiece that contributes to the debate. See www.dea.org.uk/thinkpieces.
- Become a supporter of DEA and stay in touch with our work.
