Job description:

The Education department currently houses a Research Centre named CCCI. Sally Inman is Director of CCCI.

CCCI is managing a very large UK project - the Teacher Education ESD/GC network- and with the limited current funding from TDA, Escalate, WWF and Oxfam, we are unable to devote the necessary time to the development and maintenance of the website which is crucial to the further development of the network.

As part of the network activities we also organise a UK wide conference each year which takes a large amount of preparation.

We are seeking an intern on one day a week specifically to:

1. Maintain and update the website
2. seek out new materials for the website
3. Work with regions to ensure that regional events and activities are advertised centrally
4. set up online forums
5. To work with others to prepare for the UK conference and also for regional seminars and workshops

We require someone who has:

1. good IT skills including web design and maintenance
2. An interest in sustainable development and global issues

The intern would gain experience in working in the areas of sustainable development and global citizenship and would also build CV experience in web maintenance. They would also acquire organisational skills and experience for future research activities.

The internship would particularly suit someone looking to work in the NGO sector.
