22 April 2008 - Global Collective - the next generation
On Saturday 19 April, 20 young people came together from across the country to train as Global Peer Educators and to join the Global Collective, DEA's youth network that supports the Global Youth Action project.
The weekend had 4 key aims: to explore the global issues that the group had identified as important to them, to develop team-working and peer-education skills, to unite as a group that will help deliver and promote the Global Youth Action project, and to have a lot of fun. Each of these aims was very successfully achieved, and DEA is really looking forward to working with the Global Collective this year to stimulate more positive youth action, to raise the profile of Global Youth Action, and to ensure that young people's voices are heard on the big global issues of the day.
