Raleigh International aims to develop active global citizens who can work alongside people from all backgrounds and cultures and who have the confidence and self-belief to do what they aspire to do in the world. On their return from expedition Raleigh International supports them through a network of Raleigh Societies nationally and internationally to make a difference to their community. Raleigh International works in a small number of countries, India, Malaysia, Nicaragua and Costa Rica and employ full-time staff who develop strong partnerships with local communities, NGO’s and governments to provide worthwhile and sustainable projects that are genuinely needed, within the framework of the Millennium Development Goals.

RISC works with schools and community groups to raise the profile of international issues, promote action for social justice, human rights, sustainable development and the equal distribution of the earth's resources. The Centre includes a Global Café, the offices of six voluntary organisations, conference facilities, exhibition and meeting space. A Fair Trade Shop sells books on international issues, fairly traded crafts, development education resources and children's books. RISC's activities include: a programme of events and exhibitions which provides a platform for speakers from the South on issues that are either neglected or marginalised; production of resources such as teaching packs, AV aids and exhibitions for use by schools and/or youth and community groups; provision of an exhibition, anti-racist resource and artefact loan service; provision training and work experience for volunteers in the community. Current projects include: 'People behind the products' on fair trade, 'Sustainable lifestyles' and 'Growing our futures' roof garden project.

Reconnect is a not for profit organisation that exists to mobilise the wasted human resources of displaced persons currently living as refugees, asylum seekers and migrants in Britain. Reconnect is also engaged in raising awareness about the underlying causes of displacement and 'brain drain' and its consequences and to actively engage displaced persons and the public in transforming the negative impact of displacement into a positive experience.

Redditch One World Link is a town twinning association with Mtwara in Tanzania. The link is based on equality, knowledge and understanding through learning and personal involvement. Activities include:
1. exchange visits
2. setting up partnerships between schools and churches
3. raising funds for projects in Mtwara, and for a student sponsorship scheme (administered by Mtwara One World Link)
4. raising awareness in the community of development issues, by giving talks to organisations and arranging an annual national seminar.

Returned Volunteer Action is a membership organisation open to both people who have been development volunteers or workers, and to those interested in the field. It provides information and training materials for those interested in becoming volunteers, as well as publishing a monthly listings sheet Development Action. The Royal Society for the Protection of Birds (RSPB) believes that it is of great importance to educate the next generation in the principles and practices of sustainable living. It supplies teachers with resources, offers nature reserves for school visits and pays regard to the differing needs and curricula of all parts of the UK. RSPB Education campaigns for: the true integration of education for sustainable development in the curriculum and support from Government for education for sustainable development in the form of resources, training and inspection. Wildlife activity ideas for young people can be obtained from RSPB HQ.
