PADEAP seeks to create space and an enabling environment for dynamic engagement between African Community organisations, CS0s, NGOs,Governments and Intergovernmental institutions and other partners in African development through: empowerment through development education and advocacy programmes; information communication technology; research; capacity building for local groups; cultural exchange; promotion of human security. |
Pestalozzi International Development Education Centre (PIDEC) |
PIDEC works with young international students and volunteers to deliver education programmes with schools, community groups and the general public. It has residential facilities in 75 hectacres including an educational garden and renewable energy lab with interactive displays. |

PLAN is an international, child focused development organisation working to improve the lives of children and their communities in 47 of the world's poorest countries across Africa, Asia, Latin America and the Caribbean. Plan has developed educational resources which are available on the website and is working on resources for geography, literacy, citizenship, PHSE across the key stages. |
Powys Environment and Development Education Centre |
Powys Environment and Development Education Centre provides: a free resource loan service for schools, workshops in schools, inset and curriculum planning. The centre works in partnership with Cyfanfyd, the LEA, LAZI and other NGOs and statuory bodies and is funded by DFID DAF grant, Oxfam, Christian Aid, UNICEF and the National Assembly of Wales. |
Practical Action |
Practical Action is an international development agency working with poor communities to help them choose and use technology to improve their lives for today and generations to come. Practical Action works directly in Asia, Africa and Latin America. The STEP project (Sustainable TEchnology Education Project for KS3 & 4) and Sustainable Design Award (post-16) aim to increase our young people's awareness of sustainable technology, enabling them to recognise the economic, environmental and social impacts of their own technology choices. A recent initiative is a website for primary pupils to look at issues around climate change and food. |
