Local support

Local support is available from DECs which are independent local centres and DEA members.  They aim to raise the profile of global issues and encourage positive local action for global change.  They can help to lighten the workload and increase people's knowledge and understanding by providing:

  • learning programmes
  • training and workshops
  • resources libraries
  • talks and lessons
  • support and advice
  • teaching ideas.

Support is also available through other local organisations, who may not call themselves DECs, but who work with schools locally on global learning. To find out how your local DECs or other organisations can support your work, just give them a call or visit their website.
